Playbound is operated by an individual based in Massachusetts, United States. This policy explains what information Playbound collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We collect account information from Google sign-in; profile details you choose to add, such as your name, photo, city, languages, bio, and sports experience; trips, applications, preferences, and feedback you submit; private contact details and QR images used to coordinate approved trips; and limited technical information needed for security, diagnostics, and service operation.
How we use information
We use information to provide profiles and Sports Passports, publish and manage trips, match organizers with applicants, reveal contact details only after approval, send important in-product trip updates, respond to feedback, prevent abuse, maintain security, and improve Playbound. We do not sell personal information.
What other members can see
Public trip and profile information may be visible to visitors or signed-in members. Application details are limited to the applicant and organizer as described in the product. Contact details and private QR images remain hidden until an application is approved and access is revoked when the relationship ends.
Service providers
We use service providers such as Supabase for authentication, database, and storage; Vercel for hosting and operational logs; Google for sign-in; and location-data providers for place search and labels. They process information on our behalf under their own terms and safeguards. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
Retention and deletion
We retain information while your account is active and only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, security, dispute handling, and legal obligations. To request account and personal-data deletion, email privacy@playbound.app from the email connected to your account. Associated personal data and user-generated content will be removed unless retention is legally required.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections, row-level database policies, private storage, and restricted contact-reveal workflows. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please report suspected misuse or unauthorized access promptly.
Your choices
You can update your profile and sports information, control what you submit, and withdraw eligible pending requests. Email privacy@playbound.app to request access, correction, account deletion, or deletion of personal information.
Age requirement
Playbound is intended for adults age 18 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
International use
Playbound is operated in the United States. If you use it from another country, your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations used by our service providers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Playbound develops. Material changes will be posted here and, when appropriate, communicated in the product. The effective date above identifies the current version.
