Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Playbound. By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Playbound.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. Do not use Playbound if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law.
Playbound’s role
Playbound helps people discover sports trips, present relevant experience, and request to travel together. Playbound is not a travel agency, tour operator, transportation provider, sports instructor, insurer, background-check service, or party to arrangements members make with each other.
Accounts and accurate information
You are responsible for your account and for providing accurate, current information. Sports levels, certifications, identities, and trip details may be self-reported unless specifically marked verified. Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your qualifications, plans, or authority.
Trips, costs, and changes
Organizers and members are responsible for confirming dates, costs, reservations, entry requirements, equipment, insurance, skill requirements, cancellations, and all other arrangements directly with each other. Approval on Playbound does not create a booking, employment, partnership, or guarantee that a trip will occur.
Respectful and lawful use
Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, defraud, spam, scrape, stalk, exploit, or endanger others; publish unlawful or misleading content; bypass access controls; expose private contact details; or use Playbound for commercial solicitation without permission.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Playbound a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, resize, and process it only as needed to operate and improve the service. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit that content.
Travel and sports safety
Sports and travel involve risk. Evaluate other members and conditions independently, meet safely, use qualified professionals where appropriate, follow local rules, carry suitable insurance and equipment, and do not participate beyond your ability. Playbound does not verify every member or guarantee compatibility, conduct, or safety.
Suspension and account deletion
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these Terms. You may request account deletion by emailing privacy@playbound.app from the email connected to your account. Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.
Service disclaimer
Playbound is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or that member information and trips are accurate or successful.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Playbound and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from member conduct, travel, sports participation, third-party services, or arrangements made outside Playbound. Rights that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be posted here and, when appropriate, communicated in the product. Continuing to use Playbound after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
